When Czapek reemerged onto the independent watch scene only a few short years ago, it was with the Quai de Bergues - a lyrical time only watch featuring an unusual power reserve indicator: the watch is designed to be wound every Sunday with the power reserve showing the relative energy left into the movement as it relates to days of the week.

Founder of Czapek, Xavier de Roquemarel, talk about the romance of setting one's watches on the weekend - not too dissimilar from 18th century, a golden age of watchmaking - when many people would wind their clocks for the week.
